TEAM BASED OPPORTUNITES

Kupu’s Hawaiʻi Youth Conservation Corps (HYCC) programs provide short-term opportunities for young adults to learn about conservation in a collaborative group setting. Participants will serve alongside one another on a team for 2-4 months. These programs are ideal for youth ages 16-24 who are eager to spend time outdoors participating in restoration efforts with a variety of organizations, and for those seeking academic support through mentorship in order to complete a secondary education degree, or have an interest in earning college credit & education awards.

INDIVIDUAL OPPORTUNITES

Kupu’s individual program opportunities were created for participants to gain in-depth professional development experience in various green economy sectors. Participants are placed with a single organization, usually for a duration of up to one year, which allows them to delve deeper into their assigned projects or research. These programs are ideal for college students and young professionals who have previous work experience, academic studies, or strong interests in natural or cultural resource management, sustainability and/or environmental education.
