Get Happy! 5 Maui Happy Hours...
Captain Jack's is a fun, friendly, family run restaurant on Historic Front St. in Lahaina. Great views of the World Famous Banyan Tree and Lahaina Harbor await. Using only the best ingredients we proudly serve a variety of dishes from fresh locally caught fish, hand breaded Coconut Shrimp, award winning Lilikoi beer battered Fish-n-Chips to Ribs with house made BBQ, sliced Rib Eye Philly Cheese Steaks and more.
"This restaurant is located in the courtyard of a downtown Lahaina landmark. The Inn (P.I. to locals) was the only hotel in Lahaina for a long time and is currently a comfortable BEST WESTERN property. Fusion-influenced cuisine and fruity drinks are served in a tropical garden setting. The menu features fresh local seafood and produce. Graze on Kula green salad and spring rolls, or go for a heartier choice such as the Fettuccine with Scallops and Mussels".

Every hour is happy hour on Maui, but some are unquestionably better than others. From Paia to Kahana, there are plenty of restaurants offering high-priced PuPus and piña coladas, and we soon discovered that in order to find the best Happy Hours in a tourist hub like Maui, you’ve got to hit the highway – the Hana and Honoapiilani Highways, to be precise. Greg Christensen, experienced world traveler and Professional Happy Hourist (PHH), tasted, sampled, and gulped his way through the Valley Isle to source the best Happy Hours right now.

Dollie’s Pub & Cafe...
home of the best pizza on Maui, is a no frills joint where the locals hang ten. Located in a strip mall at the corner of Hoohui and & Lower Honoapiilani roads, Dollie’s has catered to Maui’s laborers, hospitality workers, professionals, locals, and tourists since 1983. The Mai Tais, Blue Lagoons and other cocktails are well made with a hefty pour so leave the car keys and call an Uber. $4.00 drink specials a Dollie’s change daily, wood fired pizza is $2.50 a slice, and the salads – like Mark’s Costa Rican with jicama, sun-dried tomatoes, pressed garlic, and exotic herbs – are not from a bag. As with any happy hour worth its salt, casual conversations provide interesting insight on life in Maui as locals trade friendly barbs with Alex, Ally and Coby, the three cheerful bartendresses who rotate as bar master. 15 satellite TVs also guarantee that sports fans remain completely entertained. Some places are just damn comfortable, and Dollie’s is one of those places.

Three’s Bar and Grill
Travis Morrin, Cody Christopher, and Jaron Blosser discovered they share a fanatic enthusiasm for surf while working together at a top local restaurant six years ago. While surfing together around Maui they dreamt up the idea to start their own catering business using their regarded culinary school training and experience so they could surf whenever they wanted. Three’s Catering was launched in 2009 using a rented warehouse and their old trucks. In a few short months, their unexpected success had them looking for permanent kitchen space, and they opened a restaurant in the current Three’s Bar & Grill location in Kihei’s Kalama Village where their menu has evolved incorporating the three chefs’ three cuisines – Hawaiian, Southwestern and Pacific Rim. Three’s is all about great food with locally sourced ingredients, creating memories, and the casual island lifestyle that these friends enjoy everyday.
