Poem: Malama Ke Kai
Restoring Waters
Makai Side
laps against the Pali
Fishermen say:
“Aloha Ka Manini”
"Malama Ke Kai"
Bless the ocean that
feeds us in so many ways
Surfing
The Sport of Kings
thrownets
cast for sustenance
and children scream with joy
on bodyboards
Kanaloa
God of the Sea
hair combed slowly by a fresh wind
and massaged by a Southern Swell
Restoring Waters
Makai Side
feeds my liquid soul
